ABOUT ME
My Dream, my Work, my Passion!
Hi, I'm Alexandra
Do you know what it feels like to be really good at something? To love what you do, because of that feeling?
That is me, Alexandra.

I can't say that I am doing what I've always envisioned I would. But once I discovered it, once I saw my results get better and better, once I saw what a positive effect I can have on someone's life I fell in love with Permanent Makeup. And I am really good at it (no modesty needed).
I am a Finance&Banking graduate, have run commercial departments for international companies and led teams of more than 10 people. I came to the UK and worked for Network Rail commuting to London every day.
And then I decided: it was time for a change!
After mastering Microblading & Permanent Makeup, I've found my true passion, my life's calling and that is: TEACHING. It sparked an interest three years ago when I helped guide and mentor a few of my peers from the PhiAcademy community. And I instantly knew that was precisely what I wanted to do next.
Today I am VTCT Level 4 Qualified in Teaching & Education and the founder of Bespoke Esthetique Academy a Microblading & PMU a training academy in Essex. I don't teach anything else other than my passion, my knowledge and experience gained with sweat, blood and tears. Literally!

Permanent Makeup is in continuous development and a learning curve for anyone in the industry. It's fast paced and innovative, but still fairly new compared to its older sibling permanent tattooing. I have so many ideas about where I want to take my students, to a next level of deep understanding and knowledge about the 'canvas' they work on and the colours they implant. But first I cultivate their interest and help them find a shared passion for PMU. Because I started with the same fears and concerns 'will I be good enough' and 'will I ever become confident in tattooing someone's face'. I know we are not all born artists but give me your trust and I ensure you that through hard work, determination and bettering yourself I will guide you in this journey to success.

Being a Permanent Makeup Artist & Educator has brought so much light in my life, from meeting amazing people every day, being in control of my work & life balance, having the opportunity to give back to Cancer survivors and men&women with auto-immune disorders, to becoming a mother to a beautiful boy whom I cherish every day.

PERMANENT MAKE-UP / MICROBLADING
Microblading, Permanent Makeup or Micropigmentation
To start with. . . Any method of implanting pigment into your skin is by definition a tattoo. Yes! But the skin depth and pigments make the difference between permanent and permanent. Truth be told residual pigment will always linger in your skin even if you stop redoing your PMU yearly, but we call it 'permanent' because its intensity fades over time. If done correctly that is!

Permanent Makeup is a form of cosmetic tattooing, also known as Micropigmentation. It has been around since at least the 20th century, possibly even longer. It is a cosmetic technique where pigment is inserted into the skin to resemble makeup. It is typically achieved using a digital machine or manual hand tool to create permanent enhancements to the Eyebrows, Eyes, Lips, and Scalp.
It can be used to create beautiful and sexy Ombre Brows (soft shading technique), enhance the shape of your Lips or make your eyes pop with Eyeliner. More about it here.

Microblading is a technique of cosmetic tattooing performed specifically on the eyebrows. Very similar to the first methods of tattooing, it is done by manually depositing pigment into the second layer of the skin (dermis). But what makes it truly unique is the hand tool used. The unique formation of micro-needles allows the artist to create the look of real eyebrow hairs by tattooing very fine hair-mimicking strokes in the skin.
Microblading is a great solution for people who have over-plucked their eyebrows, or who have naturally very thin/light eyebrows and want to accentuate the look of eyebrows on their face. More about it here.

How long does it last? Does Microblading last less than the method done with machine?

Any form of doing permanent cosmetic tattooing means working at the same depth (top layer of the dermis). Whether done with a digital machine or hand held tool, if implanted correctly the results should last the same. Many say 1-2 or even more years... in reality they will last anything between 10-18 month, depending on many factors. The younger the skin, the stronger metabolism and faster regeneration of the skin layers where pigment is implanted. And the more mature the skin, the longer it can last.
All our prices are excluding the Touch-up treatment done generally 5-8 weeks later but not sooner than 5 weeks. In fact, because they are a superficial cosmetic tattoo, all Permanent Makeup procedures require a follow-up session to correct any patchiness and colour unevenness. And yearly Colour Boosts have a special price for our clients.

Do you have to shave off your eyebrows to get it done?

No! Microblading/PMU is done to enhance what you already have to make you look as natural as possible. It is not necessary, nor recommended for a client to remove any natural hair already there. We want to see how your natural eyebrows grow and follow their natural growth direction as much as possible. More about Pre & After info clicking on the links.

Are you a good candidate to have PMU done? Read here.
Because we are not perfect . . .
Every face has a weak point. Whether it‘s uneven eyebrows, unequally sized eyes or lips with a distorted contour. This is where micropigmentation offers the most natural solution with absolutely stunning results.

Eyebrows build the main frame around the face. Shape irregularities, unevenness and patchiness can create an inharmonious look. With just a few correctly placed hair strokes, micropigmentation can create a natural, harmonious and symmetrical look, without drastically changing a person’s appearance.

A well-defined lips line can look beautiful and that Cupid's Bow can reshape them completely! Just adding pigments into the lip contour can take off years of a person’s face. And emphasizing your eyeline will enhance the expression of the eyes making them stand out and your lashes richer and darker.
Is micropigmentation the same as permanent tattooing?
Micropigmentation and permanent tattooing are based on the same technology but different at the same time. For the first technique we use hypoallergenic pigments implanted into the dermis (below the first layer of skin) by needle micro-insertion. The difference between permanent tattooing and Permanent Makeup is in duration, the pigments used and skin depth where they are implanted. PMU is long-lasting but inserted more superficial into the skin, the special pigments slowly fade away and you can change the shape and colour to best fit your needs over the years.

Permanent Makeup builds the foundation for a perfect finish without looking made-up. You can look your best all day, every day.
